UV ULTIMATE is a professional open UV-C disinfection lamp with two 36 W germicidal lamps, reflector-focused die-cast aluminium housing and OSRAM ballast. Designed for controlled disinfection of directly exposed air and surfaces in unoccupied rooms, it uses conventional germicidal UV-C around 254 nm. Because open UV-C can injure skin and eyes, the exposed area must always be empty during operation.

How germicidal UV-C works

UV-C disinfection works by delivering short-wavelength ultraviolet energy to microorganisms. Germicidal UV-C around 254 nm can damage nucleic acids and interfere with the ability of bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms to reproduce. Actual effectiveness depends on delivered dose, exposure time, distance, shadowing, cleanliness, humidity and the susceptibility of the target microorganism.

Performance conditions

The current product specification states a radiation intensity of 70 µW/cm² under an ambient condition of 20 °C and 60% relative humidity. This should be treated as a condition-specific product value, not as a guarantee of the same intensity at every point in every room.

Line-of-sight limitations

UV-C is a line-of-sight technology: shaded or hidden surfaces receive a reduced or negligible dose.
Objects, furniture and room geometry can create shadows and may require repositioning of the lamp.
Rough or porous materials can require longer exposure and treatment from more than one direction.
Ambient temperature and relative humidity can influence disinfection performance.
Organic matter, dust and suspended particles can reduce delivered UV-C effectiveness.

People, pets and other animals must leave the irradiated area before operation. Use timer or remote switching whenever possible, place warning signage where appropriate and follow the supplied safety instructions and local workplace rules.

Material compatibility

Repeated UV-C exposure may degrade some plastics, rubber, fabrics, coatings, artwork and other sensitive materials over time. Remove, shield or test sensitive items before repeated treatment.
